Open-Level Ballet Class with Guest Teacher: Amy Guerra
Local born and world traveled Amy Guerrera has graciously offered to bring her abundant experience to students in the Kearney area. Her mission and methodology align with much of what we belive at Encore.
This class is opened leveled, however student perticipating should have some basic ballet knowledge, and any young teens should possess the self-discipline to follow basic ballet class etiquette unassisted.

Amy has extensive classical ballet training, studying in her youth with the Joffrey Ballet, Maggie Black, Ballet West, Kansas City Ballet, Omaha Ballet and more. After an injury ended her ballet aspirations early in life, she is now passionate about teaching safe and proper ways to enjoy this place where movement meets art. Amy has traveled the world working and performing jazz, tap and ballroom on cruise ships, worked in major market radio, managed a tourism company in Alaska, started a software company, and gotten a Master’s in Business Administration from a top business school.
Amy has taught creative dance and ballet to children and adults from Texas to Alaska. As a parent, Amy adds parenting and childhood development classes to her teaching tools. Amy has a deep respect for the dance studio as a transformative place--mentally, emotionally, and physically--and loves to share it through classes. Her favorite dance memory is ballroom dancing with Gene Kelly!
